Rutgers football availability report vs. Ohio State
Eight Scarlet Knights ruled “OUT”
- WR Naseim Brantley
- WR Chris Long
- RT Tyler Needham
- OL Joe De Croce
- DB Bo Mascoe
- DL Mayan Ahanotu
- DB Elijuwan Mack
- LB Tyreem Powell
Quick Take
Rutgers is without two starters on defense. We knew linebacker Tyreem Powell was out for the season. However, defensive lineman Mayan Ahanotu is out as well. That’s a big loss up front. The good news is that defensive lineman Rene Konga is no longer listed and should play in this game.. He’s been effective inside prior to missing a few games…..Naseim Brantley and Bo Mascoe remain out due to the NCAA eligibility issues……Chris Long is out for the season it was announced this week….Needham left the Temple game with what appeared to be a significant injury and wasn’t expected to play in this game……No one listed as questionable is a positive as anyone not mention should be a full go…Overall, Rutgers will need its depth to show up on defense in this game.
