Rutgers football hosts Maryland on Saturday, November 25 at 3:30 pm in the final game of the regular season. Both teams are 6-5 overall and 3-5 in Big Ten play. It’s Senior Day for the Scarlet Knights and a chance for fans to thank the outgoing players for what they’ve done in helping to turn around the program.

“You’re right, 1-0, whatever that leads to, but nobody is naïve to what it leads to,” Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano said on Monday. “It leads to a winning record. It leads to winning the most Big Ten games in Rutgers — I told these guys, you have a chance. It’s not national championship history but right now it’s history for Rutgers, and it’s part of the climb, right. It’s part of what we’re doing. And they are aware of it, yeah, so I think it would be great. But the reality is, that’s something nice to think about for a second, and then you’ve got to fix your sights on the job that you have to do and the preparation you have to do because without that, there’s no chance of the result being what you want. So that’s kind of how we do it.

On the latest episode of The Scarlet Faithful podcast, include looking back on this season and the last three weeks with perspective, the opportunity against Maryland, injury concerns, the senior class and impact they’ve made on the program plus more.
