KeymasterTo kickoff our new Forum section of The Scarlet Faithful, I wanted to start with a promo.
Anyone who replies with the favorite Rutgers game (any sport) that you’ve ever attended will be entered in the raffle for a $125 code for the site StockX. It’s a site focused on apparel, sneakers, gear and more. The winner will have the code emailed directly. We’ll announce the winner in a few days.
I’ll start with my own. My favorite Rutgers game that I’ve ever attended was the 1989 Atlantic 10 Championship at the RAC when RU beat Penn State to advance to the NCAA Tournament.
Thank you for being a part of The Scarlet Faithful community and hope you become an active participant within our forum.
Let’s Go!

ParticipantFor football it has to be Pandemonium in Piscataway.
In hoops, I’ll have to go with the Purdue win at the RAC.Looking forward to this new forum section.

ParticipantYes, it would be the Rutgers vs Purdue game at the RAC at Jersey Mike’s Arena. That game alone was well worth the season tickets.

ParticipantLike many Rutgers fans, pandemonium in Piscataway is my obvious favorite. I doubt that one will ever be beat.
However, I have two close seconds. One was when Rutgers beat Florida to spoil Mike Rosario’s return to Rutgers. I had moved to CA but flew back to NJ to visit my brother. He has season tickets to Men’s basketball so got to go to the game. That made the visit extra special.
The other was when I was in college at Rutgers when we played St. Bonaventure at the college avenue gym. We were 25-0 and it was that last game of the year and the chance to clinch the undefeated regular season. We fell behind but stormed back at the end for the victory. That game, and the subsequent spontaneous parade down College Avenue and the player’s speeches from the barn were amazing and unforgetable. That was my #1 until Pandemonium in Piscataway.

ParticipantFor me it was RU’s double overtime win in 2011 over Florida. It was such a great game and had the added dimension of Mike Rosario coming back to Piscataway. The RAC was loud even for RAC standards and Eli Carter’s 31 points had so many of us thinking that maybe, just maybe we were seeing the start of something special.

ParticipantAfter being beaten down – and stepping away from following for over a decade…. the best game was the Insight Bowl… We didn’t even win. But ALL that Scarlet in the crowd…and seeing hints of Leonard and Rice and Teel — you knew this was different.. and things were changing (now, of course it took 3 times as long as you would hope…. but….)
plus…. we need something to balance all you basketball guys…. 🙂

ParticipantJust has to be the Louisville game for me. Pandemonium in Piscataway! Didn’t attend the Purdue basketball game, but still watched it and will never forget it!

Participanthas to be the ol’ November 6th game against Princeton. Memory is a little foggy from 154 years ago, but it was an unforgettable victory for us.
