On a weekend in which Rutgers football has around two dozen official visitors, the program added a big commitment to the class of 2024 on Saturday night. 3-star offensive lineman Raynor βBig Rayβ Andrews announced on Twitter that he has pledged to become a Scarlet Knight.
The Miami native plays at Norland high school. Andrews is ranked as a three-star recruit by Rivals and 247 Sports, who also ranks him the No. 97 offensive tackle nationally. The 6β5β³, 315 pound prospect holds offers from Florida State, West Virginia, Syracuse, Central Florida and South Florida among others.
Andrews has the size and big frame that makes him a desirable prospect at the power five level. He certainly has the potential to develop into a starting tackle for Rutgers in the future. Landing his commitment helps momentum in what is a critical recruiting month for head coach Greg Schiano and the entire coaching staff.
Andrews is the first Florida recruit to join the 2024 class for Rutgers. He is the third offensive lineman in the class, joining New Jersey commits Kenny Jones of Delran and Judah Pruitt of Newark. The Scarlet Knights now have nine commits in its class of 2024. Eight are on the offensive side of the ball. The class is currently ranked No. 29 nationally in the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Wow, thatβs some good size (hope itβs muscle)!
Getting a top 100 tackle is a good thing too!
