Make sure you are sitting or holding the wall before reading the below fact.

Three 5-star recruits, a 4-star prospect and another top 150 recruit are ALL taking official visits with Rutgers men’s basketball this weekend.

Let me repeat.

Three 5-star recruits, a 4-star prospect and another top 150 recruit are ALL taking official visits with Rutgers men’s basketball this weekend.

Talk about a eye opening moment for the program and head coach Steve Pikiell.

If you said that statement would become true eight years ago when Pikiell took over, it would be fair to laugh in disbelief.

The best part is that three of the five heralded recruits are already verbally committed to the program.

No. 3 recruit in the 2024 class, Ace Bailey, is taking his official visit months after committing to the program last winter. In addition, two more commits in the 2024 class, 4-star big man Lathan Sommerville and 3-star wing Bryce Dortch, are taking official visits as well.

Rutgers is also hosting two 5-star guards that are elite prospects in their respective classes. No. 2 recruit Dylan Harper, who has visited many times previously, finally takes an official visit to the program. In addition, Michigan guard Trey McKenney, the No. 12 prospect in the 2025 class, is also taking an official visit.

It’s a monster recruiting weekend for the program that could shape the future of the program for years to come. Rutgers men’s basketball readies also continues strengthen synergy with the past and future of the program.

Listen and watch this episode of The Scarlet Faithful podcast below for more on where Rutgers stands with all of these elite recruits.

Double team Harper during the visit! I like Trey McKenney a lot based on his play in the videos – a good fit for the program.
