Pregame
- Obviously would like to see Rutgers come out strong, take control and never look back.
First Quarter
- Wagner punts on its first possession as Aaron Lewis and Isaiah Iton combine for a drive killing sack.
- Rutgers takes a 3-0 lead with a Jai Patel 44 yard field goal!
- Gavin Wimsatt finds Christian Dremel for a 4 yard TOUCHDOWN on 4th down as Rutgers takes a 10-0 lead on Wagner late first quarter.
- Third straight game that Dremel has caught a TD pass.
Second Quarter
- Wagner missed a 39 yard field goal.
- Wimsatt completes a 41 yard pass to JaQuae Jackson to the Wagner 25 yard line early second quarter.
- After Christian Dremel made a defender miss for a 17 yard catch to the goal line, Sam Brown runs it in for a TOUCHDOWN!
- Rutgers leads Wagner 17-0 with 9:02 left in the first half.
- Wagner turns it over on downs near the Rutgers red zone after getting stopped on 4th and 1.
- Wimsatt runs it in for a touchdown and Rutgers leads 24-0.
- Wagner converts a 29 yard field goal. 24-3 Rutgers late second quarter.
At The Half
- Rutgers leads Wagner 24-3 at the half. RU has outgained Seahawks 212-55 & scored on its first four drives of game. Defense has been great. Special teams allowed a 67 yard kickoff return that set up the FG.
- Solid performance. Would be beneficial to score & get backups in soon.
Third Quarter
- Rashad Rochelle with his first big return of the season for 89 yards down to the Wagner 7 yard line to open up the second half.
- Gavin Wimsatt runs in his second TOUCHDOWN of the game to give Rutgers a 31-3 lead over Wagner a minute into the second half.
- A 13 play 7+ minute drive ends in a Kyle Monangai TOUCHDOWN!
- Rutgers leads Wagner 38-3 with 3:41 remaining in the third quarter.
- Time to get some starters out and get some reserves get some quality reps.
Fourth Quarter
- Welcome back Reggie Sutton! Playing left tackle in his first game in two years after a terrible injury.
- Ja’shon Benjamin & Aaron Young scored fourth quarter touchdowns.
- Rutgers defeats Wagner 52-3 to improve to 4-1 on the season.
