Episode No. 112 is a rapid reaction to the surprise commitment of 3-star speedster Kevin Levy and the current state of the 2024 class for Rutgers football.

Levy is a 6’0″, 170 pound wide receiver and defensive back who plays for Cardinal Newman from West Palm Beach, Florida. He has a composite grade of 0.8852 and composite ranking of No. 73 recruit in Florida, No. 48 athlete nationally and No. 533 overall prospect in the class of 2024 per 247 Sports. His highest rating from an individual recruiting service is On3, who rate Levy a 4-star prospect that is ranked the No. 27 recruit in Florida, No. 21 defensive back nationally and No. 177 overall prospect in the 2024 class.

Levy is the fourth highest commit for Rutgers in its current 22 member class for 2024.

The speedy Levy chose Rutgers out of a final five that included Florida State, Louisville, Illinois and Kentucky. Greg Schiano and the staff now have six commits from Florida in the 2024 class. Levy is the highest rated in the state of the six and joins linebacker Sam Robinson as Top 100 prospects from the Sunshine State. The other commits from Florida include defensive linemen Tycoolhill and Tyclean Luman, safety Dahkari Gilley and offensive lineman Raynor Andrews.

Following the commitment of Levy, the Rutgers class of 2024 is currently ranked No. 31 nationally and No. 10 in the Big Ten. The average player grade for the class is 86.79, which is No. 12 in the Big Ten out of 16 schools including USC and UCLA. From a historical perspective, this class is tracking as the third highest of the last 15 years for Rutgers.

This episode includes discussion with what the commitment of Levy means for the program both with potential impact on the field, perception in the state of Florida, the current class rankings, how the commit grade average stacks up against the rest of the Big Ten and historically within Rutgers, remaining top targets who can improve the class and much more.
