Rutgers track and field has 19 student-athletes competing at the NCAA East Preliminary Round beginning on Wednesday, May 24. The meet runs through Saturday, May 27 and is taking place at Jax Track at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida on the campus of North Florida. The Scarlet Knights tied a program record for most regional qualifiers, matching last year’s total.

“We’re excited to get down there and compete,” said Bobby Farrell, director of track & field and cross country. “This is survive and advance mode, one day at a time and they’re ready. Thirteen of the student-athletes competing this week are returning next year so the future is bright.”

At the Big Ten Championships two weeks ago, Rutgers had a program record 19 podium finishes. The women’s team also completed its best ever finish. Top performances included a gold medal for Chloe Timberg in the pole vault and a silver medal for Sincere Robinson in the long jump. Both will compete for Rutgers at regionals.

Rutgers hopes to have as many qualifiers advance past the East Preliminary to compete in the NCAA Outdoor Championships held June 7-10 in Austin, Texas. You can watch a live stream of the NCAA Regionals here and check for live results here.

Here is the complete first round schedule for all 19 competitors. Five Scarlet Knights are competing in multiple individual events.

Not a huge deal but I would want to know you spelled Dennisha Page wrong in the 100 meter I am sure it was just a typo. Just wanted to let you know.
