Rutgers football continues to remain in contention for a number of national recruits in the 2024 class. Just last week, several top prospects included the Scarlet Knights as a finalist and set multiple visits. June is an important month for visits and a sought after playmaker included RU among a group of finalists.
High 3-star WR/TE Korey Duff Jr. tweeted on Monday his final seven schools and Rutgers was on the list.
KJ Duff Jr. had 42 receptions for 995 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns last season for St. Anthony’s in South Huntington, New York. He is ranked a top 4 recruit tin New York and top 30 tight ends nationally per 247 Sports. On3 rates Duff Jr. the highest as a 4-star recruit and No. 280 nationally.
The 6’5″, 207 pound recruit is set to take an official visit to Rutgers on June 2nd and another finalist, North Carolina, the following weekend. The Scarlet Knights were the first power five program to offer Duff Jr. back in January 2022. Their persistence has landed them in his group of finalists that includes Texas and Texas A&M. On3 lists Duff Jr. as a Miami lean, but getting the athletic playmaker on campus for an official visit is a positive step. On3 does list Rutgers as the second most likely destination for Duff Jr. Hopefully, the Rutgers staff can make a big impression on KJ’s visit to the program.
As of now, Rutgers has eight commitments in the class of 2024. RU is ranked No. 27 nationally by 247 Sports currently.
