Episode No. 83 covers a variety of topics regarding Rutgers athletics, most notably the status of Rutgers guard Paul Mulcahy.
First off, I discuss Paul Mulcahy not making a public announcement in regard to withdrawing from the NBA Draft. While Cliff Omoruyi made every Rutgers fan day in announcing his return, the same didn’t happen with Mulcahy yet. He was included on the full list released by the NBA on Thursday evening regarding early entrants who have withdrawn. However, Mulcahy was not required to making any announcement about doing so.
He also didn’t have to announce a return to Rutgers or anything regarding his future. I discuss why I expect Mulcahy to ultimately return to Rutgers, why being a grad transfer means there are no 100% certainties but that shouldn’t be a specific cause for concern in his case. He also has earned the right to have space and time he wants and should be respected. I also discuss his potential impact and a quick look at the projected roster.
In addition, Rutgers wrestling and baseball both added key grad transfers this week. In addition, softball’s Payton Lincavage won the Rawlings Gold Glove at third base. Rutgers announced a new NIL store. A few game times and broadcast assignments were announcedfor Rutgers football and a mention on streaming down the road regarding the schedule.
I end with my message to give Mulcahy the time and space he needs to make any type of announcement.

Great news that Paul is “probably” coming back.
Paul’s leadership and game savvy on the floor and on n the locker room is invaluable, IMHO.
I’d be thrilled if he would average 10-5-5 this season.
Given the talent we now have at guard, do you see him (eventually) moving to pony wing and running the offense from the side when he is on the floor?
