Rutgers defeated Maryland on Thursday night at at the RAC by the final score of 64-50. My game recap is here. It was another elite defensive performance. The offense got going in the second half once again being led by Paul Mulcahy.
It was critical for the Scarlet Knights to build off of Monday’s road victory at No. 1 Purdue. This team showed toughness and maturity in being able to handle the moment and take another step forward. Rutgers is now 11-4 overall and 3-1 in Big Ten play.
Here are game highlights, the postgame presser, my rapid reaction video and the full Rutgers box score.

I would agree that the offense continues to be a work in progress. Rutgers had MD by the throat in the 1st half and let them have some life by failing to execute a consistent, effective half court offense. It should be required that all players watch film of Spencer moving without the ball, dribbling with purpose and otherwise working efficiently in the half court offense. Rutgers still takes questionable shots early in the clock and gets caught standing around and watching. Once these things are corrected (and I think they will be), they will indeed be tough to beat in the Big Ten.
I forgot to add – the changes are great, Aaron, and I hope more viewers join this site and enjoy the content. your post game reaction videos have been enjoyable.
